KIDS at Telford Minster

At Telford Minster KIDS, we aim to create safe and open spaces where children can discover Jesus for themselves, grow as apprentices to Him, build friendships and have a whole lot of fun!

From 0-11yrs there are activities, groups and events happening each week and throughout the term to try out or get involved with, including our 10am and 4pm gatherings every Sunday.

PARENTS & PROSECCO

Monday 31 March, 7:30pm | Southwater Square, TF3 4HS

Are you a grandparent, step-parent, co-parent, foster parent, someone who parents…?  Wherever you are on the parenting journey, come along to Parenting and Prosecco. We'll have nice snacks, a chance to chat together in an informal setting about faith and parenting, to share our struggles and triumphs and pray together.

    Wednesdays (Term-Time)

  • Baby and Toddler Group for ages 0-4yrs

    Parents and carers come along with their child/ren for the chance to chat and play in a relaxed environment. Refreshments are available for the adults throughout the session, children finish with a story, song time and a snack.

Minster Minis (Wednesdays)

  • 10am Gathering - Kids Church Groups
    4pm Gathering - Kids Church Together

  • Kids check in at the welcome desk on entry to church and join in with the main church family at the start of our gatherings.

    Later, the kids head out to worship together and the sessions include songs, fun, games and crafts around a theme from the Bible.

    10am – We have Minster Kids groups for 4-11yr olds. The welcome space has age-appropriate toys, books and story sacks for pre-school children who need a distraction. The TV relay is on so parents who wish to sit here with their children won’t miss out on the service.

Boys Brigade (Tuesdays)

  • Primary school boys ages: 6–7:15pm
    Secondary school boys ages: 7:30-9:15pm
    Tuesdays (Term-Time)

  • Boys’ Brigade is all about the growth of Christ’s Kingdom among boys. Come along and get involved in sports, games, outdoor adventures, and skill-building opportunities while making new friends and being part of a supportive community.  It’s a place where you can grow, learn, and have a great time along the way!

Beloved (Thursdays)

  • Girls ages 7-18 years: 6:30-8pm
    Thursdays (Term-Time)


  • Ages 7-18

    Beloved is a meaningful space created for girls to gather, build community and explore the Christian faith together.

Consent + Safeguarding

In order for children to attend Minster Kids, we require a parental consent form to be completed. You can see and fill in the form here.

At Telford Minster, we take safety very seriously. We believe that everyone should be able to engage with God and our church family in a safe and welcoming environment, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults.

FAQs

  • All our Minster Kids groups are for Primary-aged children.

    At our 10am Gathering we start together for some worship songs then (team allowing) we split into two age groups. Reception - Year 3 and Year 4-6 for our time of Bible study and teaching.

    At our 4pm Gathering Reception - Year 5 meet together. There is Minster Youth for school Years 6+.

  • Lots of things! Each week we’ll look at a different story or theme in the Bible, and unpack it together, through games, stories and craft. We’ll also have times of prayer and worship, and lots of play too!

  • Our fantastic Minster Kids Team! All of our team have been through our safer recruitment process, safeguarding training and have enhanced DBS checks so you’re in safe hands.

    Parents/carers are able to enter the groups to settle children. We will come and get you if your child is upset or needs you!

  • We want to provide an environment where every child can encounter Jesus and explore faith, whatever their needs. Please get in touch with us if you need more information. We would love to meet you and your kids, and make sure they get the best support.
